Woman suffers head injuries in dispute | Crime

A 58-year-old woman told police she was punched multiple times in the head by an acquaintance Monday night as she tried to get him out of her Williamson Street apartment building.

Madison police said the punched the woman and got on top of her and held her down.

The woman called out for help and a neighbor came to her rescue, police said.

She was taken to an area hospital with head injuries, police said.

Scott B. Mann, 41, no permanent address, faces charges of battery, police said.
