Police: Cab driver carjacked by man with gun | Crime

A Union Cab driver was carjacked by a man carrying a handgun early Saturday morning, according to police.

Madison police said the man approached the cab at about 2:30 a.m. in the 3300 block of Commercial Avenue on the city's east side.

The cab was found empty within minutes nearby at the intersection of Burke and Powers Avenue, police said.

A canine search of the area came up empty.

Police said they are looking for a black man in his mid 20s with an average build. They said he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
