MPD to host meeting about relocation of sex offender | Community Spirit
The Madison Police Department will be holding a meeting next week to discuss the relocation of a registered sex offender, according to a community post.
Officials will provide information and education to residents about the relocation of Michael L. Thommen, 61, to 3324 Milwaukee Street. Officers will also provide information on Thommen’s pattern of offenses.
Thommen’s criminal history includes second-degree sexual assault of a child and first-degree sexual assault.
Residents will also be able to ask the MPD and the Department of Corrections questions about sex offender relocation, police said.
The meeting is scheduled for Aug. 28 from 6-7:30 p.m. in the East Police Community Room at 809 S. Thompson Drive.
