Cycropia Aerial Dance To Perform At 45th Annual Orton Park Festival | Arts & Culture

Cycropia Aerial Dance will present its magical blend of modern dance and circus arts in an evening of all-new works, as it brings "Volando" to the Orton Park Festival in Madison's Marquette Neighborhood. 

Audiences will have two chances to see this free performance, Thursday, Aug. 26 at 8 p.m. and Friday, Aug. 27 at 8: 45 p.m.

Using its signature low-flying trapezes, 20-foot silks and other aerial apparatus created specifically for this performance, Cycropia will play with gravity and verticality as they dance under the canopy of one of Orton Park’s majestic oak trees.

Cycropia has been performing at the Orton Park Festival since the mid 1990’s, creating a Madison community dance tradition.
